High School Program Overview

 Noblesville High School draws on a wealthy history that dates back to the 1870s. It is a broad 4-year school supported by a faculty of 146 teachers, 1 media expert, 2 instructional coaches, 6 administrators, 8 counselors, 2 athletic directors, an at-risk coordinator, and an array of support personnel. Nearly 30 courses, 18 teachers, and several aides serve students with special requirements.
High school students expend the majority of their time focussed on English, math, science, social studies, and world languages. They have a broad kind of elective courses to select from including classes in technology, business, art, and performing arts. The curriculum offers hurry courses with weighted ranks and dual-credit opportunities, advanced position courses, courses offered through Indiana University’s Advance College plan and Project Lead the Way Courses.
An extra 44 professional courses are accessible through the J. Everett Light Career Center.

Noblesville High School’s honors program offers sole and challenging learning opportunities to encourage students who possess the wonderful academic ability. Honors courses are offered in English, math, social studies, and science. All honors classes provide knowledge that challenge students to better their academic skills expand and deepen content knowledge and considerate and foster autonomous, lifelong learners. While students may earn college credit through higher Placement and Advance College plan classes, all of Noblesville’s honors classes give students a head start on college stage work, improve writing and problem resolving skills, and develop the study habits necessary for strict college work.
NHS offers beginner college opportunities to juniors and seniors in a kind of areas. In addition to the AP and ACP courses, juniors and seniors may take college courses. Students may select courses offered in the evening through Ivy Tech at NHS, at every local accredited college or university, or at NHS during the school day.
 Technology accessible to students and teachers includes more than 11,00 computers and internet access that is easily available throughout the building. Computer labs include 5 general reason computer labs, along with labs for exact uses such as journalism, business, art, and mass media. All science classrooms are operational with either a classroom set of laptops or iPads. Students create the daily statements and other special projects in the video-making studio. A music studio homes electronic music courses and supports the music program.
 Educational programs are plentiful at NHS. Students may contribute to academic, service, athletic and performing arts programs. Academic clubs range from state Honor Society and world languages clubs to educational competitions such as Spell Bowl and Quiz Bowl. Key Club is the main service club, and the NHS student administration is active in organizing school and society events. 4 concert, 2 jazz bands, 3 orchestras, 9 choirs as well as a recording studio are open to NHS students. Students contribute to 2 main theater productions every year. The Millers athletic teams compete in 13 sports sanctioned by the IHSAA; cheerleading and dance teams are too administered through the athletic section.
 The high school facility is used widely by the society. Emergency responders practice their skills in dissimilar areas of the buildings. Senior swim club members take benefit of the indoor pool. society performing arts groups use the hall and stage for different performances.
In many ways NHS is a focal point of the society, contributing to a small-town ambiance that exists despite continuing development of the school and city.

 Learning, Moving Forward in Noblesville Schools

The Noblesville Schools‘ Special Education section believes in providing educational experiences that align with the district’s mission and aim to allow our students the opportunity to have student-centered learning experiences that integrate investigation learning and technology into a valid approach to learning.
Along with educational standards, the Special Education section develops skills that are necessary for our students to have the similar opportunities as their general education peers.  These skills are termed pillar skills.
The following pillar skills represent the association for our students’ achievement:
•       Management functioning, a set of mental procedures that helps connect past experience with the current action. People use it to perform activities such as planning, organizing, strategizing, paying attention to and remembering details, and managing time and space.
•       Communication, the act of transferring information through the written word, oral messages, or other subtle non-verbal signs.
•       Critical Thinking, the mental process of conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating information to arrive at an answer or finish
•       Social/Soft, the skills we use to communicate and interact with every other in harmony equally verbally and non-verbally through gestures, body language, and our personal show.  Students will develop soft/social skills to set up themselves for efficiently engaging in the 21st Century.
These skills are necessary for success as our students move on to post high school, college and career actions.
